Big East Week 13 Preview

Syracuse (6-5, 4-2 Big East) has quietly put together an impressive in-conference resume after upsetting Louisville. They travel to Temple (4-6, 2-4 Big East) on Friday. The Owls must win out to go bowling in their return season to the Big East.

Cincinnati (7-3, 3-2 Big East) hosts their second-straight road game when USF (3-7, 1-4 Big East) travels to Nippert Stadium on Friday. The Bearcats could finish within one win of the best available team for the Russell Athletic Bowl and remain in contention.

Reeling from their loss to Syracuse two weeks ago, No. 20 Louisville (9-1, 4-1 Big East) hosts Connecticut (4-6, 1-4 Big East) on Saturday. Louisville is first in the Big East in scoring 33 points per game while UConn is last at 17.

No. 18 Rutgers (9-1, 5-0 in the Big East) takes their undefeated conference record on the road as they travel to Pittsburgh (4-6, 1-4 Big East). Though the buzz about Rutgers this week has been about their move to the Big Ten in 2014, they have a chance to win their first Big East conference championship this season.

Should Rutgers and Louisville both survive, their game next weekend in Piscataway will serve as ade facto conference championship game, with the winner headed to a BCS Bowl and the loser becoming the best available team for the Russell Athletic Bowl.
