Viral Pop-Tarts Bowl Trophy to be Displayed at College Football Hall of Fame During College Football Playoff National Championship Week

The Pop-Tarts Bowl, held annually at Camping World Stadium in Orlando and hosted by Florida Citrus Sports, has become a fan-favorite event, blending humor, innovation, and football to capture national attention.

In December, more than 6.8 million viewers watched Iowa State defeat Miami in a thrilling matchup. Following the game, Cyclone quarterback and game MVP Rocco Becht selected the Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts mascot to be toasted and eaten by his teammates in celebration. The toasting tradition started in 2023 when the first edible mascot in college football history Strawberry was eaten by bowl champs.

This season, the bowl trophy itself—a first-of-its-kind football-shaped, working toaster—stole the show during Bowl Season. Created in partnership between Florida Citrus Sports, Pop-Tarts and GE Appliances, this 77-pound masterpiece is the first trophy in sports history to feature a working toaster.

Now, just two years into its young career, the Pop-Tarts Bowl headed to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Leading up to the College Football Playoff National Championship, the Pop-Tarts Bowl Trophy will be on display at the College Football Hall of Fame as part of a temporary exhibit on the history of National Championships, scheduled to run through March 2025. Media and influencers are invited to capture content, conduct interviews, and take selfies with this one-of-a-kind piece of football history.
