ACC Week Two Preview
North Carolina (1-0, 0-0 ACC) visits Wake Forest (1-0, 0-0 ACC) in the only conference game scheduled for this week. North Carolina had an impressive game against Elon in the opening week, while Wake Forest struggled a bit against Liberty before ultimately bringing home the win.
Miami (1-0, 1-0 ACC) looks to pull off an upset against No. 21 Kansas State (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) in Manhattan to avenge last year’s heartbreaking loss.
Virginia (1-0, 0-0 ACC) won comfortably over Richmond last week but will see a tougher opponent this week in Penn State (0-1, 0-0 Big Ten). Though the Nittany Lions struggled in their home opener, they still post a tough test for the Cavaliers.
After a 20-point win over Florida International, the Blue Devils of Duke (1-0, 0-0 ACC) take on the Stanford Cardinals (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) out west.
Maryland (1-0, 0-0 ACC) will meet Temple (1-0, 0-0 Big East) in Philadelphia. Maryland struggled in their victory against William & Mary, but did manage to keep their opponents out of the end zone.
North Carolina State (1-0, 0-0 ACC) will take on the Huskies of Connecticut (1-0, 0-0 Big East). The Wolfpack will try to rebound from last week’s tough loss to Tennessee behind the leadership of quarterback Mike Glennon.
Behind star running back Andre Ellington, No. 12 Clemson (1-0, 0-0 ACC) looks to come out strong against Ball State (1-0, 1-0 MAC) in their first home game of the year.
Four ACC teams host Football Championship Subdivision opponents in Week 2: No. 6 Florida State (Savannah State), No. 15 Virginia Tech (Austin Peay), Georgia Tech (Presbyterian) and Boston College (Maine).
