ACC Week 12 Preview
Virginia (4-6, 2-4 ACC) hosts North Carolina (6-4, 3-3 ACC) on Thursday night. The Tar Heels are ineligible for the postseason and could force the Cavaliers to stay at home as well with a win here.
Duke (6-4, 3-3 ACC) travels to Georgia Tech (5-5, 4-3 ACC) in a key Coastal division battle. The Blue Devils had a bye week after losses to Atlantic Division powers Florida State and Clemson. They can clinch the Coastal Division with consecutive wins against Tech and Miami next weekend. The Yellow Jackets also have a shot at the division title, but need to beat Duke and then watch the Blue Devils beat Miami.
NC State (6-4, 3-3 ACC) visits Clemson (9-1, 6-1 ACC) in Death Valley, where the Wolfpack hasn’t won since 2002.
Maryland (4-6, 2-4 ACC) hosts Florida State (9-1, 6-1 ACC). The Terps have only won twice in the series, but both wins came in College Park (2004 and 2006).
Virginia Tech (4-6, 2-4 ACC) must win out to go bowling this season. They play Boston College (2-8, 1-5 ACC) in Chestnut Hill. The Hokies have not yet won on the road this season.
In non-conference action. Miami (5-5, 4-3 ACC) hosts USF (3-6, 1-4 Big East) and Wake Forest (5-5, 3-5 ACC) travels to No. 3 Notre Dame (10-0).
