ACC football takes the bigtime spotlight Saturday night as for the first time in history, both the Atlantic and Coastal Division Champions are ranked in the top ten entering the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship.

With a victory Saturday night, the Tar Heels can clinch a spot in a “New Year’s Six” game just one season removed from a 6-7 record, while the Tigers look for their 15th straight victory and a berth in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Clemson is just the seventh ACC team to win at least 12 games in a season, the first time the Tigers have reached the 12-win plateau since their 1981 National Championship.

North Carolina returns to the site of its only loss this season, looking to win its first ACC Football Championship in 35 seasons. Since their opening game loss to South Carolina in Charlotte, the Tar Heels have won a school-record 11 in a row, and have completed their first undefeated conference regular season since their last ACC championship in 1980.
