Big East Week 11 Preview
Fresh off a near-upset of No. 4 Notre Dame in South Bend, Pittsburgh (5-4, 2-3 Big East) goes on the road again Friday night to meet UConn (3-5, 0-3 Big East). The series is knotted at 4-4 but Pittsburgh has only won one game in East Hartford.
Cincinnati (5-2, 1-1 Big East) takes its dynamic offense on the road to meet Temple (3-5, 2-3 Big East), who has proven to be a competitive foe in their return to the Big East. It’s the third away game of the season for the Bearcats; the previous two resulted in their only losses of the season thus far.
No. 9 Louisville (8-0, 3-0 Big East) travels to Syracuse (4-4, 3-1 Big East) for what should be an intriguing battle of quarterbacks. Orange QB Ryan Nassib and Cardinals signalcaller Teddy Bridgewater are #1 and #2 in the Big East, respectively, for completions, passing yards and passing yards per game.
In nonconference play, No. 23 Rutgers (7-1, 4-0 Big East) hosts Army (2-7) in Piscataway. The Scarlet Knights have beaten the Black Knights in eight straight games.
