Big East Week Six Preview
No. 20 Rutgers (4-0, 1-0 Big East) welcomes Connecticut (3-2, 0-0 Big East) to High Point Solutions Stadium for a “Black Out” as the Scarlet Knights debut their new black uniforms. The Huskies won the matchup last season, 40-22. Rutgers will try to get its first win as a ranked team since 2007.
Pittsburgh (2-2, 0-1 Big East) heads to the Carrier Dome for a matchup with Syrcause (1-3, 0-0 Big East). The game marks the 69th time the two programs have met, with the Panthers holding a slim 34-30-3 advantage in the series.
Temple (1-2, 0-0 Big East) hosts South Florida (2-3, 0-1 Big East) at Lincoln Financial Field in the first conference game since returning to the Big East. The Owls are looking for their first Big East win since 2004 (MAC 2005-11) and their fourth consecutive victory in a conference opener.
No. 23 Cincinnati (3-0, 1-0 Big East) hosts Miami (OH) in the Battle for the Victory Bell. The RedHawks lead the all-time series, 59-50-7, but the Bearcats haven’t lost a game in the series since 2005.
