When it was a full strength, Baylor’s offense was pretty awesome in 2015.
But when you take away key pieces – including the top two quarterbacks, a 1,000-yard running back and an award-winning receiver – they were just as impressive as the Bears piled up 756 total yards and dismantled North Carolina, 49-38.
Behind Johnny Jefferson’s 299-yard rushing night, Baylor pounded out 645 yards on the ground, setting bowl records in both categories. Baylor, which finished the season at 10-3, also got 161 yards and a touchdown on the ground from Devin Chafin and 97 yards and two more rushing touchdowns from Terrance Williams in the win.
Marquise Williams passed for 243 yards and accounted for five total touchdowns for the Tar Heels.
