In Russell Wilson’s final game in an NC State uniform, the junior quarterback threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns to beat West Virginia, 23-7.
Wilson, the game’s MVP, added 41 yards rushing and kicker Josh Czajkowski made three field goals to propel the Wolfpack past the No. 22 Mountaineers. West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith threw for 196 yards and picked up 59 via the run, but turned the ball over three times. Running back Noel Devine added 50 yards on the ground despite playing with an injury, but also lost a fumble.
The Mountaineers had a season-low in points scored and a season-high in points allowed. The team’s five second-half turnovers were also a season-high. The game was Bill Stewart’s last as WVU head coach.
