PJ Daniels rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns and Reggie Ball threw for 207 yards and two more scores as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pounded out a 51-14 win over
Syracuse.
Georgia Tech needed just 41 seconds to jump on top, 7-0, as Chris Reis intercepted Perry Patterson and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown. With the score tied, 7-7, the Yellow Jackets went ahead for good on back-to-back touchdown passes from Ball, including an 80-yard catch-and-run play to Nate Curry.
For the game, Georgia Tech compiled 519 yards of total offense, while its defense limited Syracuse to 280 yards and forced three turnovers.
