January 1, 1994

Boston College put on an offensive clinic, racking up 557 total
yards as the Eagles defeated Virginia, 31-13.

Quarterback Glenn Foley set eight bowl game records after passing for 391
yards and three touchdowns. Foley earned Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance, despite throwing an interception on his second pass of the game that would set up an early Cavalier touchdown. Foley hit Clarence Cannon for TD receptions of 78 and five yards to overcome the deficit.

Virginia’s Charles Way ran for a seven-yard touchdown between Cannon’s scores, but Boston College’s defense held the Cavaliers scoreless in the second half to secure the win.
